OUR APPROACH TO SUSTAINABILITY
At Minicam, our vision is to integrate sustainability into our everyday decision making across all of our business functions. We recognise that a diverse, responsible and inclusive environment requires positive action on our part.
We share Halma’s vision of growing a safer, cleaner, and healthier future for all. By embedding sustainability in every aspect of our operations, we strive to positively impact both the environment and the communities we engage with.
We wish to achieve net zero Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 2050, as well as minimising our resource consumption and waste through the implementation of circular design principles. We also strive to significantly reduce our Scope 3 emissions, fostering transparency and responsible practices across our supply chain. These targets will be met through the following means:

At Minicam, we are dedicated to advancing trenchless technologies for the inspection, installation, and rehabilitation of pipeline systems worldwide. By minimizing ground disturbance, these solutions help preserve biodiversity while generating less waste and requiring fewer raw materials, significantly lowering the carbon footprint of pipeline projects. Trenchless technology also reduces noise and air pollution by limiting the use of heavy machinery, leading to cleaner air and quieter urban environments. It minimizes traffic disruptions and restores pipelines efficiently, contributing to safer communities and more sustainable infrastructure globally.
We are dedicated to reducing our direct emissions and achieving net-zero status by 2050 for our UK sites. By continuously evaluating and improving our operations, we strive to minimise our environmental impact while providing durable and innovative trenchless solutions.
At Minicam Group, we are committed to addressing greenhouse gas emissions embedded within our supply chain by working closely with suppliers to adopt more sustainable practices. We aim to actively collaborate with our partners to ensure adherence to ethical and environmental standards.
By integrating environmental and societal factors into our purchasing decisions, we aim to minimise our value chain emissions while promoting fair and responsible production practices. This collaboration and transparency allows us to uphold the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly goals 6 (clean water and sanitation),11 (sustainable cities and communities) and 12 (responsible consumption and production).
We aim to integrate sustainability into our product development processes to design pipeline system solutions with minimal waste throughout their lifecycles, from manufacturing through to end-of-life disposal.
Our dedication to servicing allows us to uphold circular design principles by increasing the lifespan of our products. We additionally strive to maximise the repairability, reusability and recyclability of our products and the materials we use, to ensure the provision of resources for future generations while providing innovative solutions to meet the immediate needs of our customers.
We have previously taken significant steps to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions through various initiatives, including the adoption of sensor-activated and energy-efficient LED lighting, as well as our cycle-to-work scheme.
Furthermore, the integration of solar panels into our custom van-fits has been instrumental in extending the lifespan of our batteries by preventing degradation. This not only lowers their replacement rate and demonstrates our dedication to employing circular design principles, but it also reduces our downstream dependence on the national grid for electricity.
Despite this, we acknowledge that there is still work to do and we are committed to the continuous implementation of sustainability into our everyday operations.
We’re proud to announce our Salford, UK site received ISO 14001 certification in April 2025, demonstrating our commitment to systematic environmental management and continuous improvement in reducing our ecological footprint. Minicam Ltd is also an ISO 9001-certified company, reflecting our dedication to maintaining rigorous quality management systems.
Our Salford site also completed its first EcoVadis assessment submission on 28 March 2025. This comprehensive evaluation examines our environmental practices, labour standards, ethical operations, and sustainable procurement efforts. We are awaiting the results, which will provide actionable insights to further strengthen our sustainability strategy.

We are conducting this assessment to identify the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues that are most relevant to our company and our stakeholders. Your input is crucial in helping us focus our sustainability efforts.
